NewsMachine DELUXE is the core of our product offering. It’s a personal tool for Business Intelligence. As a subscriber you can create up to twelve search profiles that continuously monitor 2000 Internet publications for your interests.

How does the service work?
As a user you create personal search profiles, also called “agents”. These consist of one or more keywords. NewsMachine continuously reads the latest news from hundreds of Internet publications. The search profiles are continuously compared with articles found in the latest news. When there is a match the result is delivered to you shortly after the article has been published on the Internet.

What do we deliver to you? NewsMachine does not send you the article, we send you a link to the article, the headline, and one or more quotes from the article. The links are delivered in real time either via a personal results page, e-mail, or a mobile text message (SMS).

You can create up to twelve agents. Agents consist of one or more keywords of three types. When you create an agent you can select which must be found in the article to create a match. And words that must not be in the article if there is to be a match. In addition to this you can add a group of words of which at least one must be in the article. The agents are simple to use and everything is done at this site. You can easily test drive agents and change agents. You have total control over how extensive or narrow your agents search profiles are, when they are to be changed, and how. It’s also possible to add more agents to your subscription whenever you want. See our price list for details.

You can select which publications to monitor. You can focus your results by creating a custom media list and limit which publications the specific agent should look for matches in. The default option is however for an agent to look through all the publications that NewsMachine monitors.

You can easily organize your press clips. We have created a special tool to help you save and organize the extra important and special news that you may find. When you browse your daily results you can save each article hit consisting of headline, quotes, and a link to the original article. You can create your own folders to store the information you find. E.g. one folder for Red Company and one for Blue Company. You can move your results freely between folders and also add your own notes to your results. Another very useful feature is that you can do a free text search through the press clippings.

Create an automatic media analysis If you for example are following an election you can automatically create a media analysis of who is getting the most press of the blue party and the red party. You can see both the number of raw hits from the agents or the filtered and quality controlled results from your clip book. The statistics will be generated for any date range that you choose. The analysis statistics are both for the number of time a keyword has occurred and the number of articles that have generated hits.

NewsMachine grows with your information needs If we are missing a publication that you need to monitor in your work, you are welcome to suggest that we add it. We will try to respond to all requests but can’t guarantee that we add all suggested publications to our media list. We can however add custom web sites of any type to your company for a slight extra charge. This could for instance be used to monitor your competitors’ press release pages.
